Woodlands Waterway Marriott earns trio of awards

The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center was honored with three industry awards, two of which bestow national recognition.

Two executives from The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center were honored recently with three awards for events management and market strategy.

Director of Event Management Mark McCaskey was recognized nationally as “Event Leader of the Year” in the Americas Region for all Marriott and J.W. Marriott hotels, while Director of Market Strategy Stephanie Sheeran was honored nationally as “Revenue Leader of the Year” for the Americas Region.

The hotel’s event management team as a whole was recognized for the second time in four years as “Event Management Team of the Year” for 2011.

“At The Woodlands Waterway Marriott, we strive every day to meet or exceed our customer’s expectations,” said general manager Fred Domenick. “We know the success or failure of that effort hinges, more than anything else, on our people. We’re proud of this well-deserved recognition for Mark, Stephanie and the entire events management team because these awards send a clear message to meeting planners everywhere that they can count on The Woodlands Waterway Marriott for a spectacular event.”
