Alleged fall in The Woodlands lands in court
A Montgomery County woman is suing over claims an unsafe shopping experience in The Woodlands resulted in a broken hip.
Mildred Joyce Pate filed a lawsuit on Wednesday, June 13 in Harris County District Court against Linbeck Group, New Linbeck, Brooksbrothers, Trademark Property and Runyon Architects & Associates, citing negligence.
Pate says on Feb. 13, 2011, she fell and broke her right hip in front of the Brooks Brothers store on Six Pines Drive while shopping at Market Street-The Woodlands. The accident occurred when an unsafe condition on the property caused her husband trip and stumble on top of her, according to the brief.
Pate is seeking damages in court costs. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Donna Roth.
