Six Woodlands-area runners complete Rock 'n' Roll Seattle Half Marathon
Six Woodlands-area runners completed the Rock 'n' Roll Seattle Half Marathon on Saturday, June 23, in Seattle. The runners from The Woodlands who participated in the race are: Katherine Cunningham, 56, (2:18:52); Sonia Carr, 39, (2:25:26); Ron Henry, 63, (2:38:58); and Alejandro Torres Guerra, 39, (3:41:52). The Magnolia runners are: Patrick Hession, 52, (2:34:42); and Ann Appleby, 64, (2:54:30). A total of 14,240 runners finished the 13.1-mile race, which started and ended at Seattle Center in downtown Seattle. Robert Scribner of Rochester Hills, Michigan was the men’s overall winner with a time of 1:05:58, while Kelly Calway of Manitou Springs, Colo., was the women’s winner in 1:18:16.
