Two runners from The Woodlands complete El Scorcho 50K
Two runners from The Woodlands completed the El Scorcho 50K on Sunday, July 15 in Fort Worth.
John R. Slate, 55, completed the race in 5:39:10, and Greg Shotts, 44, crossed the finish line in 5:55:31.
A total of 93 runners finished the 50-kilometer race, which was held in Trinity Park. The race is an endurance run which took place at midnight.
Edgar Martinez of Allen was the men’s overall winner with a time of 3:43:33, while Shaheen Sattar of Dallas was the women’s division dinner in 4:15:45.
