The Creekside YMCA Outdoor Adventure Center will host the grand opening of its new wellness center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 in the Creekside YMCA Kevin and Cathy Brady Lodge in The Woodlands.   Free and open to the whole community, the event will feature wellness demos, massages, giveaways, a petting zoo, pony rides, archery, an alpine tower, face painting, balloon art, mascots, a moonwalk, a climbing wall, refreshments, door prizes, guided tours and membership promotion activities.   Grand-prize drawings will include complimentary 12-month YMCA family memberships and gift cards. The first 300 guests will receive free Creekside YMCA T-shirts in adult sizes, according to a press release.   The new wellness center has Cybex strength training equipment, free weights and Precor cardio equipment.   Creekside YMCA Outdoor Adventure Center is nestled on 21 acres, donated by The Woodlands Development Company, at 6464 Creekside Forest Drive. The new facility, including the wellness center, is adjacent to the 1700 acre George Mitchell Preserve. The primary focus of the center is attention to outdoor recreation and education, reconnecting children and families with nature.   For more information, call 823-698-1283 or visit www.ymcahouston.org/south-montgomery-county.
